I started this site for my friends and family, so I could tell everyone what I’ve been up to without having to repeat my story 10 million times. Tired of sounding like a broken record (and to my embarrassment, telling the same stories over again to the same people), I’ve decided to start this blog.
A few things you should know about me: I live in Los Angeles with my husband, Rene, and my ridiculously good-looking dog Chuy. Chuy is a Chow Chow, and the inspiration for his name came from Chewbacca of Stars Wars fame. He looks like Chewbacca and we believe he can speak Wookie. I work in the entertainment industry, and I report financial results for my company. I think this job is a good fit because I’m analytical and detail-oriented. I’m also creative, particularly in my wardrobe choices and home decor (sometimes to disastrous results).
I love to travel – I love exploring new places and experiencing new things. My dream is the travel the world for a year, but since my budget (and vacation time) is limited right now I am constantly exploring LA and its surrounding areas on weekends. Sometimes I discover great places and sometimes I am disappointed, but I always manage to find something interesting to write about.
Things I love include Target, J. Crew, Hello Kitty, shoes, sample sales, the colors pink and turquoise (especially when paired with brown), e-mail, Etsy, Netflix, Trader Joe’s cheese puffs, hazelnut, Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles, champagne cocktails, colorful accessories, movies, basketball, the smell of freshly washed sheets, and three-day weekends.
Things I don’t like include traffic, cockroaches, clutter, parking tickets, and most Mondays.

Abi –
So I just went onto your new blog. Needless to say, when I saw you had a Chuy “section” I went to it immediately (after enjoying the Phillipines photos) OMG – I LOVED Chuy’s section. I particularly enjoyed his 6th birthday party, including the party hats! I kept going of course and spotted the J Crew Chuy. I need to go back and read, but I had to drop you a note to tell you how much I enjoyed it. He is a lucky dog and you and your hubby are lucky humans
